The singer and the 16-years old Jovie back then were the target of criticisms by the public as they first admitted that they were a couple and later on wed in Islamic rites last November 2013 at Maguindanao.And now that she turned 18, Jovie has become open on of her relationship with Ka Freddie who is 43 years older than her.
The video below shows the two dancing then later on take the stage as Jovie emotionally thanked her parents because they were also became the target of criticisms on her relationship with the music legend.

"Kasi noong nagkarelasyon kami, sobrang naging isyu. Lahat ng masasakit na salita, natanggap nila," Albao said shortly to an ABS-CBN reporter after her speech. "Parang ano ba... Nakakalungkot isipin, 'di ba, na hindi naman sila kasali sa isyu."
"Ngayon, okay na. 'Yung relasyon kasi naming umiikot sa aming dalawa, eh. Hindi namin pinansin 'yung ibang tao kasi hindi naman sila kasama, eh. Nagkakilala kami, kaming dalawa 'yon. Nagmahalan kami, kaming dalawa 'yon. Kung may pagkakamali kami, kaming dalawa din 'yon."
When asked on what was her wish on her birthday, she said: "Sana matupad ko lahat ng pangarap ko, matulungan ko ang pamilya ko, lahat ng ambisyon ko sa buhay, makuha ko nang walang tinatapakan na ibang tao. At maging mapayapa ang pamumuhay namin araw-araw, gabayan kami ng Panginoon, ‘yun lang."
