2014 seems to be the year of international recognitions for the Pop star Princess Sarah Geronimo as she recently won the Best Southeast Asian Act in the 2014 MTV European Music Awards beating other contenders from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

And now another blessing has come for the 26-year-old The Voice of the Philippines coach as she was selected by Disney to sing its Disney Princess franchise theme song, “The Glow”.
Originally performed by the YouTube sensation and Disney UK’s “MyCamp Rock 2” champion Shannon Saunders, “The Glow” was sang during the promotional event last October 2, 2011 at the Kensington Palace in London when Rapunzel of Tangled (2010) was welcomed as the 10th Disney Princess.

It was the second time that a Filipina sing a Disney theme song after Lea Salonga, her fellow coach in The Voice of The Philippines became a prominent personality when she sang as the singing voice of Mulan and Princess Jasmine of Aladdin.
Apart from Sarah, Kim Chiu was also picked by Disney to portray Mulan in their calendar which the pictorial was done a few months ago and will soon be released.Other Disney Princesses aside from Rapunzel and Mulaninclude Snow White (Snow White and the 7 Dwarves), Cinderella, Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Ariel (Little Mermaid), Pocahontas, Jasmine (Aladdin), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Tiana (Princess and the Frog) and Merida as the 11th princess from the movie Brave.
